“I used to be an alcoholic and a drug addict. My story starts when I first started attending Shepherd’s Joy [my church]. I was one of those people who liked to live for partying. I’d go out and get drunk on the weekends, sometimes all week long. I couldn’t hold onto a job, couldn’t keep a relationship or friends. The friends I had wasn’t what you would call real friends. I hung around the ‘wrong crowd.” Then I met a woman who is now my loving wife. She got me to start going to church but I still led a life of sinning.
Well, I got into trouble and faced prison time. I was terrified and I knew the only way out was God. So I asked God and his son Jesus Christ into my heart. I asked him to forgive me of my sins and to take my addictions away from me. From that day on, I’ve been free of those addictions and Jesus even made it possible to skip prison. I’ve made my mind up to live for the very person who saved my life, Jesus Christ. This is only one testimony of countless ones that I could tell you on how God and his blessed son has changed my life. If you would like to know more on how God and Jesus could change someone’s life, go to church and you’ll find lots of people like me.”
